For the past couple of days Bradley Beal has basically been on the market since the Washington Wizards have decided to demolish the demolishable and then rebuild and try to return to the Playoffs for the first time since 2021 (only post-season appearance in the last 6 seasons). According to Shams Charania, negotiations for a Beal trade would already be well under way and the whole thing could be finalized before the Draft to be held next week, June 22, also because picks will probably be involved in the exchange.
According to Charania reports, the Wizards are reportedly in “serious” talks with both the Phoenix Suns and Miami Heat. If Miami has often been juxtaposed with Beal over the years, Phoenix is an absolute novelty: in the exchange could therefore end up Chris Paul, whom the Suns want to get rid of and who, if cut, would weigh little on the salary cap of Washington, which, for its part, will certainly not have who knows what kind of pretensions to results next year.
Information not to be underestimated: Bradley Beal is one of the very few players who has in his contract a “no-trade clause”. This means that the destination would have to be agreeable to the Washington guard, otherwise he himself might veto it.
Developing: Washington is in serious talks with two finalists – Miami and Phoenix – on a Bradley Beal trade, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. The Suns have emerged as a serious threat for Beal, who holds a no-trade clause.
