The Los Angeles Clippers’ losing streak is over and the man primarily responsible for it, James Harden, played like a hero tonight, making sure the team did not lose its seventh straight game.
With the NBA In-Season Tournament game against the Houston Rockets tied at 100 to 100 with 22 seconds left, the Clippers knew they had one last chance to score. Initially Harden passed the ball to Kawhi Leonard for the winning shot, but The Klaw was closely guarded and had to return the ball to Harden.
Harden did not waste the opportunity to prove his worth, making his stepback triple as the clock ticked toward the final seconds of the final quarter. Even better, the Beard was fouled for the four-point play.
Harden made the next free throw to give the Clippers the lead for good. Bottom line, the Los Angeles franchise secured the 106 to 100 victory and halted its fall in the standings.
