For Marcus Smart this Christmas was really special, and we’re not just talking about the victory of the Boston Celtics about the Milwaukee Bucks. After the game, the Green and White player, Defensive Player of the Year last season, posted a couple of tweets that threw his fans into a panic.
At first, Smart wrote: “You know what…”. Message that was followed by a troubling: “I’ve had enough. I’ve been holding back for too long and it’s time I told you…”.
Concern turned to panic when shortly afterwards the Celtics player wrote: “It’s time for me to leave…”.
Finally the sigh of relief. It was all a joke, and Marcus Smart announced his own official engagement. “Oh I forgot the rest… It’s time for me to leave the single life. He said YES!” wrote Smart, posting a photo together with his fiancée, complete with ring, in front of a Christmas tree.
