VIDEO: Close call brawl between Knicks and Sixers! DiVincenzo and Oubre protagonists

Things got heated between the New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers in the fourth quarter of Sunday night’s showdown at Madison Square Garden when DiVincenzo and Kelly Oubre clashed following the latter’s foul on the former.

DiVincenzo was trying to get to the basket at the baseline when Oubre appeared to hit the Knicks guard’s head from behind. A minor scuffle ensued, with players on both sides gathering around the basket.

Isaiah Hartenstein also shoved Oubre from behind, before the Knicks center also received a shove on the back from Sixers big man Paul Reed. Both Hartenstein and Reed were sanctioned with a technical foul, as was DiVincenzo.

As for the game itself, it was Philadelphia that emerged with a 79-73 victory. Oubre led the Sixers’ charge with 18 points and 10 rebounds, as well as 3 assists and 3 steals, while Reed and Buddy Hield came off the bench scoring 13 and 16 points, respectively.

The Knicks, while missing some key players, must be frustrated that they were unable to take advantage of a team lacking not only Joel Embiid but also Tyrese Maxey.
