Vasilije Micic scored 25 points, his own career-high, in the Charlotte Hornets’ 110-98 win over the Memphis Grizzlies tonight.
Micic finished with 9 of 10 from the field, including 5 of 6 from behind the arc, and dished out 8 assists. Miles Bridges put up 27 while Grant Williams added 18 points for the Hornets, 15 of them in the fourth quarter when he made all five of his shots. Tre Mann, who had missed the previous three games due to a groin strain, finished with 10 points, as did Brandon Miller.
The game was messy throughout, with Memphis committing 24 turnovers and the Hornets 20. Memphis shot 42.4 percent and 16 of 40 from beyond the arc, while Charlotte shot 53.7 percent.
GG Jackson led the Grizzlies with 26 points, while Luke Kennard scored 17. Jemison had 14 points and John Jemison was the leading scorer. Jemison scored 14 points and John Konchar finished with 13 points and 9 rebounds for the Grizzlies, who are 3 KOs in a row.
In short, Vasilije Micic proved that he can fit in the NBA without too many problems. All it took was simply to give him a chance….
