The Detroit Pistons are in danger of writing history again, the wrong kind though…

The Detroit Pistons moved closer to another note in history after a 129-102 loss to the Boston Celtics. With only 12 games left in the regular season, the Pistons are close to setting a new record for fewest wins in franchise history.

The all-time low was set in 1979-80, when the Pistons finished 16-66. This year’s team is currently 12-58 and may be able to reset that infamy by the end of 2023-24. Detroit also tied with the Washington Wizards for the worst record in the NBA.

Closing out the season will not be easy because the Pistons have a far from favorable schedule. 6 of their last 12 games are against playoff teams. 9 of those closing games are also on the road.
