Simone Fontecchio to the Utah Jazz: it’s practically official

Rumors from a few hours ago have now been confirmed by Adrian Wojnarowski: Simone Fontecchio has agreed to a two-year deal with the Utah Jazz, for a total figure of 6.25 million dollars. The Italian will thus be the third Italian in the NBA next year after Danilo Gallinari and the naturalized Paolo Banchero.

He will arrive at the Jazz, a team with an uncertain future that just traded Rudy Gobert and could do the same with Donovan Mitchell in the coming weeks (Heat and Knicks favored). Fontecchio is coming off two years in the Euroleague, one at Alba Berlin and one the Baskonia, Last season he kept 11.0 points and 4.4 rebounds average..

As reported by Woj, DraftExpress experts consider Fontecchio the best player available at the wing spot outside the NBA.
