Former NBA star Rajon Rondo was reportedly arrested Sunday after a gun, marijuana and drug paraphernalia were found in his car during a roadside check.
Rondo was reportedly arrested in Jackson County, Indiana, on weapons and marijuana charges, WDRB’s Jason Riley reported. As mentioned, the two-time NBA champion was initially stopped for a traffic violation. But when an officer smelled marijuana coming from his car, it led to a search and the discovery of the aforementioned items.
“Rajon Rondo was stopped for a traffic violation in Jackson County, Indiana, Sunday afternoon and an officer smelled marijuana, leading to a search that found a handgun, a quantity of marijuana “for personal use” and drug paraphernalia, ISP spokesman Sgt. Stephen Wheeles said Monday evening.”, reads the WDRB report.
“Rondo, 37, should not have had a firearm because the court had issued a no-contact order against him. The charges are all minor.”
