Pat Beverley for years was a fierce rival of the Los Angeles Lakers and also of Russell Westbrook in particular. Since he arrived in yellow-purple a few weeks ago, however, everything has changed. On yesterday’s Media Day, Beverley even said that Westbrook is his new best friend among Lakers players. Then the former Clippers and Timberwolves man mentioned what his favorite play is among those of LeBron James: “My stoppage on him!”.
Reference to a decisive stoppage on a James triple in the finale of an LA derby two seasons ago.
A typical Pat Beverley response, which made LeBron burst out laughing. The King was quoted the words of his partner, and James couldn’t help but laugh: “Pat’s got problems, guys!”
