Kyrie Irving talks about what it cost him not to vaccinate

Kyrie Irving misses no opportunity to remark on his choice not to vaccinate against Covid-19.

The player of the Brooklyn Nets had talked about it again a few days ago and touched on the subject again during the media day.

This time Irving emphasized how much this choice has cost him, financially and otherwise.

In order not to vaccinate myself, I gave up a contract extension of over $100 million. I did not know if I would be able to play in the NBA again, but I made a conscious choice and risked losing my job. We would have reached the renewal agreement as early as last summer had it not been for this choice I made. I understood the public’s view on this and lived with it, but it was a bitter pill to swallow.
