Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic has joined an exclusive club, becoming the third player in NBA history to record a triple double against every team he has faced.
Jokic finished with 21 points, 19 rebounds and 15 assists in the Nuggets’ 130-110 win over the Washington Wizards, joining LeBron James and Russell Westbrook in the exclusive club.
“When I finish my career, it will be a legacy and a milestone.”, Nikola Jokic said after once again hitting triple-doubles. “I’m going to look back and say that’s a really good thing to do.”
Because James and Westbrook have played on multiple teams, they remain the only players to have scored triple-doubles against 30 teams. Jokic is at 29 and that is not likely to change anytime soon.
Jokic also became the first player in NBA history to shoot 10-of-10 or better from the field with at least 15 rebounds and 15 assists in a game.
In 650 career games, Jokic ranks fourth in NBA history with 121 triple-doubles in the regular season. On the all-time list, ahead of him are onlyMagic Johnson (138), whom he will soon surpass, Oscar Robertson (181) and Westbrook (198).
Joker is now very close to winning the third regular season MVP of his career, after the 2 in a row in 2021 and 2022. Only Joel Embiid has managed to snatch the 2023 one from him.
