NBA GMs put pressure on Lakers coach Darvin Ham

The Los Angeles Lakers made enough noise when they decided to hire Darvin Ham as the team\’s new coach. As a first-time NBA coach, it was not an obvious choice for many fans, but still there is no denying that Ham could potentially have a big impact this season, not only on his team but on the rest of the even league. Just like general managers throughout the NBA.

Based on the results of the recently concluded annual survey to NBA general managers, Darvin Ham is expected to have \”the greatest impact\” among new and returning coaches. Ham was actually the runaway winner here with 48 percent of the vote. New Sacramento Kings coach Mike Brown was second with 31 percent, while Steve Clifford of the Charlotte Hornets rounded out the Top 3 with 17 percent of the vote.

That only adds more pressure on Ham, who will fill one of the highest-profile roles in the entire NBA. Expectations on the 49-year-old are already sky-high, and there is no doubt that his every move will be scrutinized under a microscope.
