CP3 is now headed to the Washington Wizards as part of the Bradley Beal trade deal that will see the three-time All-Star take his talents to the Phoenix Suns. However, that has not stopped the Los Angeles Lakers from continuing to dream about Chris Paul. In fact, LA may have taken a step closer to finally bringing Paul to Hollywood now that news has emerged about Washington’s plans to redirect the veteran point guard to another city.
According to NBA insider Marc Stein, Chris Paul still figures significantly in the Lakers’ offseason plans. Renewing the contracts of Austin Reaves and Rui Hachimura, remains the No. 1 priority for Los Angeles, and apparently so does signing CP3 via NBA free agency:
“The Lakers’ current Plan A involves re-signing free agents Austin Reaves and Rui Hachimura and attempting to sign CP3 as a free agent should Paul come to free agency in the wake of his inclusion in the trade that brought Beal to Phoenix” Stein wrote.
Let’s see if somehow the Los Angeles Lakers will manage to bring Chris Paul to Hollywood after it was all done when the outfielder was in New Orleans.
