In summary:
- New York gets OG Anunoby, Malachi Flynn and Precious Achiuwa
- Toronto gets RJ Barrett, Immanuel Quickley and a second-round pick in the 2024 Draft
Barrett returns home to his native Canada in the midst of a season in which he is scoring 18.2 points on average. The best player in the trade, however, is definitely Anunoby, who has been given as a possible starter for a few months now. This season the now former Raptors player is scoring. 15.1 points on average, although certainly for Tom Thibodeau the key contribution will be his defense. Last season Anunoby was included in the NBA’s second defensive quintet.
