Jimmy Butler wants to finish his career in Brazil: here’s why!

Jimmy Butler unfortunately had to miss this year’s playoffs due to a minor injury and said he wants to end his playing career in the NBA at the Miami Heat but in general in Brazil at Flamengo.

In an interview with Rohan Nadkarni of GQ magazine, Jimmy Butler revealed that he would like to play for Flamengo in Brazil.

“Certainly. In the NBA? Definitely.” said about the Heat, the team with which he will retire from basketball played in the NBA. “But then, after that, I really want to play for Flamengo. I tell everyone, I’m half Brazilian.”

Butler is good friends with Brazilian soccer superstar Neymar. Last year he invited him to the NBA Finals. Last season Neymar named Butler as one of his top five basketball players of all time.

“I feel at home, man. I care a lot about the city, I care a lot about the people in this city. Miami has embraced me. They wanted me to bring them something they haven’t done since LeBron, D-Wade and C-Bosh. And I want to do it. So as soon as I get my knee fixed, I’ll be back playing and everyone will know.”, Butler said about Miami.
