Ja Morant and family sued for assault on teenager

Ja Morant and members of his family have been subpoenaed for a court hearing related to the Memphis Grizzlies star’s case of alleged assault on a teenager.

During the 2022-2023 season, Morant made quite a few mistakes. In addition to his antics on social media, which got him suspended, he was also involved in a number of allegations of assaulting teenagers. Among them, Morant allegedly punched a teenager named Joshua Holloway during a point guard home game.

Morant received a complaint for the alleged assault. In July, however, well-informed insiders said the Grizzlies star is defending himself by claiming that he acted in self-defense.

According to the latest updates, an “immunity hearing” will be held from Dec. 11-13 where Morant’s lawyers will present their case for self-defense, as ESPN reports. Morant, who has not yet testified on the case, will be questioned by his lawyer under oath before Holloway’s lawyer cross-examines him.

In addition to Ja Morant, his father Tee Morant and mother Jamie were also subpoenaed to testify at this hearing. His friend Davonte Pack was also subpoenaed., as well as other friends and witnesses who were present at the time of the alleged incident.

Let us see how this additional case around Ja Morant will unfold. What is certain is that 2023 has been a terrible year for the Memphis Grizzlies herself.
