A frightening incident occurred tonight on the bench of the Oklahoma City Thunder, when he Bismack Biyombo suddenly collapsed while greeting his teammates and high-fiving them at a break in the action during the game against the Portland Trail Blazers. The good thing is that Biyombo was able to get back on his feet and walk to the tunnel under his own power, although the cause of Biyombo’s sudden collapse continues to worry Thunder executives.

Fortunately, good news keeps coming in about Bismack Biyombo. According to Brett Siegel, NBA reporter for ClutchPoints., the Thunder have cleared Biyombo of any serious health issues, although given the worrisome nature of a sudden collapse, the team will continue to monitor his condition into today.
I know this has already been put out by others but I would like to provide an update I just got from Oklahoma City.
Bismack Biyombo has been cleared of any serious health issue after appearing to collapse in front of the team’s bench tonight.
He will continue to be monitored…

Bismack Biyombo’s collapse alarmed the Thunder’s entire bench, with OKC players scrambling soon after to make sure the veteran big man was okay. But immediately after the fainting spell, Biyombo was “alert” according to Siegel’s report, which should have allayed very justified concerns about the 31-year-old center’s condition.
The most frightening part of Biyombo’s fainting was the fall; the Thunder players did not seem to realize what was happening in real time, so Biyombo fell straight to the ground without being caught by any of his teammates. Mike Muscala looked very confused when Biyombo fell, but was immediately concerned when he realized what was happening.
