Dr. J’s top 10 All-Times: LeBron James excluded in protest

Hall of Famer, Julius Erving, a.k.a. “Dr. J,” has long been outspoken in his comments about the NBA and LeBron James, and just a few days ago he expressed his thoughts on the state of the league, expressing his disappointment with the movement of players among stars such as Damian Lillard and Bradley Beal who have asked to leave their respective franchises.

This discontent played a role in Dr. J’s ranking of the 10 greatest NBA players of all time, with Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James curiously absent from the list of the 16-time All-Star and 4-time MVP.

After all, for a player who many believe is at least in the conversation for the greatest player of all time, LeBron not even being considered by Erving as one of the 10 greatest players is certainly noteworthy.

As for why Dr. J. snubbed LeBron?

“He is the man who led the charge in terms of the super team.”, Erving said. “When he put that team together in Miami, he also did it in Cleveland and now he’s doing it in Los Angeles. He can pick his team. I’m not going to pick his team.”
