Dennis Schroder changes jersey: trade between Toronto and Brooklyn

Dennis Schroder remained in Canada a few months, as a hot name this past market day was included in a trade between Toronto Raptors and Brooklyn Nets. The exchange is quite simple: the German and Thaddeus Young in Brooklyn, while Toronto gets Spencer Dinwiddie e Dennis Smith Jr..

The season of Schroder, world champion with Germany in September, has been positive so far with 13.7 points and 6.1 assists on average. The same cannot be said of Dinwiddie’s, 12.6 points average but just 39% from the field, among the worst percentages in the NBA.

This is the second trade of the day for the Raptors, who a few hours ago had raised a few eyebrows by acquiring Kelly Olynyk and Ochai Agbaji in exchange for Kira Lewis, Otto Porter Jr and a 2024 first-round pick. The fact that a franchise that probably will not make the post-season gave up a pick for Olynyk, by the way a free agent in the summer, was not convincing.
