Danilo Gallinari, who missed the entire 2022-2023 season due to an injury with Italbasket in August 2022, may soon leave the Boston Celtics, never having played there because he may end up in Washington.
According to Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports, Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Lakers and Washington Wizards could arrange a trade that would bring the Italian to the American capital.
“I have heard that Danilo Gallinari has been included in trade talks to three teams developing between Boston, Los Angeles and Washington, with Gallinari on track to head to the Wizards.”

The Boston Celtics of course would prefer to have a more intact player, while the Washinton Wizards, who are in the midst of rebuilding, could lose Kristaps Porzingis so they can get draft picks and young talent for the future.
Of course we would feel sorry for Danilo because he has always dreamed of being able to wear the Celtics’ jersey and not being able to do so would be a real shame. From a Boston point of view it is absolutely understandable but we also understand the thoughts of the Italian boy born on August 8, 1988.
Let’s see how the situation will evolve and whether Gallinari will really move to Washington or it’s just an idea.
