Where are we on the trade to get Kevin Durant out of Brooklyn?

There has still been no progress on the trade front for Kevin Durant despite the fact that several days have passed since the superstar asked to leave the Brooklyn Nets and, apparently, things are not going to change anytime soon.

Brooklyn is in no hurry to trade Durant as the team has all the time in the world to wait. However, as ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski also pointed out, the lack of movement is due to the fact that interested teams are still working behind the scenes to bring in the package needed to get KD.

“The market is still taking shape and I think it’s up to some of the other teams to be creative and start bringing ideas to Brooklyn, go out and see if they can find players, picks that put the kind of package that it would take to get Kevin Durant. Brooklyn has time on its side. The offseason is still very long and KD has four years left on his contract. They don’t have to rush into a deal.”, Woj said on SportsCenter.

The Nets are looking for a trade package that includes a superstar, a young rising star and a slew of first-round picks and trades in any deal for Kevin Durant. That said, it is likely that an offer for the 33-year-old will involve multiple teams for it to become possible.

According to recent rumors, Phoenix Suns, Miami Heat, Toronto Raptors and Golden State Warriors are interested in making moves for Durant. However, it remains to be seen what kind of offer they will make to Brooklyn to convince them to give up one of this offseason’s most valuable assets.
