Paolo Banchero and the Orlando Magic were defeated Wednesday night by the Milwaukee Bucks 117 to 99, but the long shot still had something to smile about as Banchero wrote a little piece of NBA history in the third quarter, according to Magic PR, equaling Luka Doncic:
“With a 3-point basket with 10:42 left in the third quarter tonight in Milwaukee, Orlando Magic wing Paolo Banchero joins Luka Doncic as the only players in NBA history to have accumulated 3,000+ points, 1,000+ rebounds and 200+ 3-point shots during their first two NBA seasons.”.

Despite the loss, Banchero delivered another solid performance for the Magic. He finished with 20 points, six rebounds and six assists.
After the Magic selected him with the first overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, Banchero excelled. Averaging 20 points, 6.9 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game, he won NBA Rookie of the Year in 2023.
However, none but the most optimistic Magic fans would have predicted that Banchero would become a player of this caliber so quickly. On the season Banchero averages 22.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 5.3 assists, shoots nearly 34 percent from the three-point line and had a chance to be an NBA All-Star for the first time in his career.
