Milwaukee Bucks fans got a big scare Tuesday night when the team’s superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo suffered a non-contact injury during the 104-91 victory over the Boston Celtics.
On Wednesday American morning, the Bucks received the best possible update on Giannis’ injury. But they are still not completely out of the woods ahead of the 2024 NBA Playoffs.
“After an MRI, Giannis Antetokounmpo’s left Achilles tendon is fully intact and his return to the court will depend on how quickly his left calf strain heals, according to ESPN sources.”, reported NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Bucks had previously posted that the injury was a “left soleus strain.” But Woj’s news confirmed that there was no Achilles injury.
The difference between a calf strain and Achilles tendon problems is remarkable when it comes to basketball injuries. So Giannis and the Bucks have to breathe a sigh of relief after the eight-time All-Star and two-time NBA MVP suddenly keeled over. To that we wait for Giannis Antetokounmpo to get back on the court quickly.
