The San Antonio Spurs continue to be spellbound by Victor Wembanyama’s impressive statistics. Wembanyama delivered a historic performance in the Spurs’ 122-99 win over the Toronto Raptors tonight.
Wembanyama became the first player in NBA history to pull off a triple-double of 20 points and 10 steals in less than 30 minutes, second Sportsnet Stats. The 19-year-old is becoming a real asset to opposing defenses.

In 48 games, Wembanyama is averaging a league-leading 20.4 points, 10.1 rebounds and 3.2 steals per game. Unfortunately, the Spurs have not been able to see his play translate into many wins. However, his historic contribution allowed the team to win tonight.
The French center ended the game against the Raptors with 27 points, 14 rebounds, 10 stoppages and 2 steals. His effort was supported by Devin Vassell, who put up 25 points, 6 assists and 3 rebounds.
San Antonio outscored Toronto in four major statistics categories: points in the paint, assists, stoppages and steals. Of course, Wembanyama’s eruption contributed largely to the latter two categories. Who knows how far this French phenom can go!
