Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant was suspended for the first 25 games of the 2023-2024 NBA season due to his actions in the infamous Instagram Live video, but that didn’t stop Nike from churning out the colorway of its popular Nike Ja 1 silhouette. This Halloween, shortly after the NBA season begins, Nike will release a Halloween version of the Nike Ja 1.

Nike decided to stand by Ja Morant despite his mistakes and support the young star on his path to redemption. He chose not to pick up the debut release of his signature shoe a few days after the accident and saw the sneaker sold out within minutes. Since then, Nike has released a few other versions that have been similarly successful. As part of the “Midnight Series” for Halloween 2023, Nike is offering Ja Morant a zombie-inspired colorway for his shoes.
Although Nike has not announced an official release date, the theme is a strong indicator that these shoes will be launched during the fall of 2023, likely around the vacation season. There is no doubt that these shoes will be a hit among kids and will be a great conversation piece for all sneakerheads who love a unique look.
