Viewership record for an NBA game could fall soon

The record for number of spectators in a game may soon be updated NBA.

The date for breaking it would be that of the January 13, in the challenge between San Antonio Spurs e Golden State Warriors. As part of its 50th anniversary celebration, the Texas franchise planned to play the game in theAlamodome.

This is the facility where the Spurs played between 1993 and 2003, which for the occasion will be able to host 65 thousand spectators. The silver-black are aiming for a sold-out crowd, as the. 50 thousand tickets have already been sold. The goal is to rewrite the attendance record (62046) set in 1998 for Atlanta Hawks – Chicago Bulls.

Optimism seeps into the Spurs household that the goal will be reached, as stated by CEO Robert Buford. The coupons already snapped up still guarantee San Antonio a record attendance in its history.

The cost of the still-available tickets ranges from $17 for the farthest sectors to $3,500 for courtside. The closest seats, however, are virtually all sold out already, with a few remaining that are being sold by verified dealers.
