Remember Henri Drell of Pesaro? His dream of playing in the NBA could become a reality

Henri Drell will sign a two-way contract in the NBA with the Chicago Bulls, according to a report by Shams Chanaria of The Athletic.

The winger spent the 2023-24 season with the Windy City Bulls, a G-League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls. Drell, an Estonian national, will be added to the roster after Justin Lewis is waived once again, according to Shams Chanaria.

With the Windy City Bulls, Drell averaged 12.4 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists this season. He was also part of the G-League team in the 2022-23 season. The Chicago Bulls have a 10-16 record and currently occupy the 12th position in the Eastern Conference.

This is a great opportunity for a guy who has made a lot of groundwork and has often been criticized in Pesaro for his performance. Let’s remember that he arrived in Italy when he was little more than 18 years old, after the important experience in the youth sector of Bamberg, and that he made mistakes that at 19-20 years old are very normal.

Let’s see if Henri Drell will be able to play for several games in the NBA or if he will have to settle for only a few appearances. It all depends on him and we wish him all the best!
