Fans may wonder about LeBron James and his occasional body language when circumstances do not go in his favor. But with the Los Angeles Lakers’ backs against the wall in Game 5 of the first-round series against the Denver Nuggets, James proved more brazen than ever, refusing to go softly to the bench and leave the team in the moment of trouble. Late in the third quarter, LeBron James, after landing awkwardly following a layup, refused to leave the game despite a left ankle injury.
The Lakers star loudly pointed out to his team’s bench that there was no way he was coming out of the game, and understandably so. After all, their playoff lives were hanging by a thread, and the Lakers needed LeBron James, despite his ankle injury, to come close to a historic comeback over the defending champion Nuggets. Unfortunately, in the end his great effort was not enough for nothing, as Jamal Murray’s final basket and the Lakers’ elimination.
LeBron James appeared to tweak his left ankle on that last layup. He is staying in the game after re-lacing his sneakers.
Hope he’s okay 🙏pic.twitter.com/cGGDpidhoe

Hopefully, this was just a sprain and he can represent Team USA without any problems this summer.
