Tonight LeBron James’ Los Angeles Lakers lost in Game 5 to the Denver Nuggets and were thus eliminated from the playoff race, once again by a game winner from Jamal Murray.
From the exact moment the last buzzer sounded, everyone began to wonder about the future of LeBron James, who never before seemed to be far from the Los Angeles Lakers. In the press conference the King certainly did nothing to dilute the rumors because he answered the question they asked him this way:
Did you think tonight would be your last game with the Lakers?
LeBron James: “I’m not going to answer that.“
Was there any thought that tonight was your last game with the Lakers?

He doesn’t say yes or no. He doesn’t even make the blanket statement where he says he has to think about it. He prefers not to answer, dribbling the question like the best Kyrie Irving in penetration against the Clippers’ defense, about Los Angeles.
It’s definitely going to be a hot week in California. LBJ will probably-or almost certainly-get out of his contract, but that doesn’t necessarily mean goodbye to the Lakers. The King wants at least a fifth ring, though, and this team absolutely cannot allow him to win it.
