Anticipation is growing for the landing in the NBA world of Victor Wembanyama.
The French phenomenon in the coming weeks will play in the final of the transalpine championship and then he can devote himself to the NBA world. On June 22, the San Antonio Spurs will select him with the first overall call-up in the Draft.
This means that, in all likelihood, Wembanyama’s debut in the NBA world will not take place in the Summer League of Las Vegas but in that of Sacramento, in which the Spurs participate along with five other teams.
In the July 3 California fixture, San Antonio will face the Charlotte Hornets, so we may see the first and second picks of the upcoming draft facing each other right away.
After the July 5 contest with the Lakers, Wembanyama will move to Las Vegas for the longest and most famous Summer League. Here, too, he will have all the eyes of the world on him.
Questions remain about the continuation of his summer: will he play in the World Cup with France or will he prepare for his real NBA debut?
