Terrible hours for RJ Barrett and his family.
The young brother of the Toronto Raptors player, Nathan, è prematurely passed away on Tuesday. This was announced by the Canadian franchise, which did not provide further details about the departure, asking for the utmost respect for their athlete’s bereavement.
Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau posted condolences to the Barrett family, as did the Canadian Basketball Federation Of which Barret Sr, Rowan, is general manager.
Nathan had played for the prestigious high school of the Montverde Academy, Florida, but then he had decided not to pursue basketball, devoting himself to studying to become a pilot. A future tragically cut short at the age of 23.
RJ Barrett is not expected to take the court in a few hours in the showdown between his Raptors and the Orlando Magic but could be available again for Sunday’s reverse court confrontation.
