Utah Jazz, could Ettore Messina coach Fontecchio’s team?

Ettore Messina has been confirmed by general manager Christos Stavropoulos as Olimpia Milano’s head coach for the 2023-2024 season as well however, everything could change if a call from the NBA comes, perhaps from Will Hardy and Simone Fontecchio’s Utah Jazz.

According to what Sportando wrote, the Salt Lake City franchise wants to confirm the head coach who did well in the first half of the season, allowing Lauri Markkanen to win the Most Improved Player award but alongside him they would like to change assistant coaches. Hardy and Ettore Messina worked together under Gregg Popovich at the San Antonio Spurs and maybe they will do the same for the Utah Jazz…

Right now it’s just speculation, nothing concrete. And it will stay that way until the end of the disappointing Meneghine sports season because you have to try to save it by winning Scudetto number 30.

Let’s see how things will evolve in the coming weeks. A hypothetical farewell to Milan would force Olimpia to search the market for a coach at least of his level, and there are not many. Ergin Ataman has decided to sign in Greece at Panathinaikos, although potentially there is always that Pablo Laso background…
