The midsole cushioning is designed to help absorb the forces of Zion’s explosive game. The midsole is composed of Formula 23 foam with a Zoom Air unit in the forefoot for responsive cushioning. The drop-in midsole promotes comfort and stability. The stack height is the lowest ever achieved by a Zion signature shoe. This allows players to have cushioning where they need it, but also to have control over ground movement, such as a tight spin from the low block.
The rubber herringbone traction pattern promotes quickness and control, while the iconic “Z” icon, ever-present in Zion’s signature line, comes to life with a raised TPU material and helps contain lateral movement.
