ESPN has compiled the ranking of the 25 best players with less than 25 years currently playing in the NBA. The ranking compiled by the U.S. TV newsroom, with famous insiders such as Tim Bontemps and Bobby Marks leading the way, is not a list of the best players currently but in perspective.
In first place Luka Doncic, followed by Anthony Edwards and Victor Wembanyama. The Frenchman, precisely because of the motivation of strength in prospect, ranks ahead of such established players as Tyrese Haliburton, Ja Morant, Zios Williamson and Darius Garland.
The other very prominent rookies, namely Scoot Henderson and Chet Holmgrem, are found at position #23 and #13, respectively. Paolo Banchero only #14th.
This ranking, in any case, hints at the amount of young talent that will be the absolute stars in the coming years, when veterans like LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Steph Curry will give way in the collective imagination to the new generation of stars.
