Danilo Gallinari’s career has been in a bit of a state of limbo since he was traded from the Washington Wizards to the Detroit Pistons in January. Gallinari played six games for Detroit, averaging 8.7 points per contest. However, according to the latest reports, it appears that his days in the Motor City are coming to an end.
The Detroit Pistons have waived Gallinari, according to reports from NBA insider Shams Charania of Stadium and The Athletic, as well as James L. Edwards III of The Athletic, on X, the social media platform formerly called Twitter. According to Charania, the big man will begin meeting with teams in his new free agency.

At the age of 35, it might be easy to think that the former Denver Nuggets forward no longer has much to give. However, it wasn’t long ago that the wing played a surprisingly crucial role in the Atlanta Hawks’ run to the Eastern Conference Finals in 2021.
Let’s wait and see what the future will be for Danilo Gallinari, who will almost certainly sign shortly with another NBA team and perhaps with a contender of his own. Only time will tell us exactly.
