Suspension Draymond Green: HARD HAND of the NBA.

Draymond Green has received a five-game suspension, and in addition to not being able to play and help his teammates, he will also have a financial loss. Green choked Rudy Gobert in an attempt to pull him away from Klay Thompson, who was arguing with Jaden McDaniels at the time.

After blocking Gobert, Green dragged him away as Timberwolves teammates tried to separate them. In a statement announcing the punishment, the NBA noted that Green’s “history of unsportsmanlike acts” played a role in the length of his suspension.

“Draymond Green has been suspended for five games without pay for escalating an on-court altercation and forcefully grabbing Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert in the neck in an unsportsmanlike and dangerous manner.”, the NBA announced in its statement.

Draymond Green will miss the two challenges against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday and Saturday and the games against Houston, San Antonio and Phoenix.

But there’s more: Green will also lose $769,970 in salary due to suspension, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. This is certainly a major chunk of the $100 million contract he signed with the Golden State Warriors in the summer.
