Sixers strike a blow: picked up Montrezl Harrell on two-year deal

The free agent market in the NBA, which has been almost immobile for a couple of months because of the Durant situation, is moving. I Philadelphia 76ers have come to an agreement with Montrezl Harrell, who has remained a free agent until now. The long man, in his last season between Washington and Charlotte, will sign a two-year deal but the figures are not known (likely, however, to be at minimum salary). The second year will be a Player Option.

Harrell scored 13.1 points average last season, coming off the bench. In 2020, when he was with the Clippers, he had won the Sixth Man of the Year under Doc Rivers’ orders, which he will now find again right in Philadelphia. In the summer Harrell was also arrested for marijuana possession-his record will be expunged if he does not run into more trouble with the law in the next 12 months.
