Simone Fontecchio’s minutes are growing a lot

Finally, the time also seems to have come for Simone Fontecchio. The Azure had struggled to find space in the Utah Jazz, but after the trade deadline things changed. What’s different? Certainly the departures of Jared Vanderbilt and Malik Beasley have given him more minutes, and in the last 5 games he has gone into double figures in this statistical item 4 times.

Fontecchio was on the court 24′ against Minnesota (9 points), 22′ against Toronto (7 points), only 4′ against New York (0 points), 13′ against Indiana (0 points) and last night another 24′ against Memphis (7 points). The shots are not going in, as Fontecchio in these 5 games has shot 9/29 from the field, but coach Hardy is still giving him confidence.

A few days ago the Jazz coach, in a press conference in Toronto, had pronounced words of high esteem towards the former Baskonia. “I don’t want to say I was surprised, but I found much more than I expected in Simone Fontecchio’s technical background, having gotten to know him.” Hardy had said.
