Russell Westbrook, the day before the trade deadline, had been traded from the Los Angeles Lakers to the Utah Jazz. In Salt Lake City, however, Russ never in fact set foot, as he immediately dealt with the buyout that arrived in just these hours.
As a free agent, Westbrook then decided to sign until the end of the season with the Los Angeles Clippers, as reported by Adrian Wojnarowski. The point guard will not even move, but will switch to the Lakers’ historic city rivals at least until the summer. At the Clippers, Russell Westbrook will form a trio with Paul George, his former partner at the Thunder, and Kawhi Leonard.
In 52 games this season, Westbrook has scored. 15.9 points on average Almost always coming off the bench.
