I Chicago Bulls also seem destined for mediocrity this year, defeated in 8 of their 12 games so far. Of a sellout Zach LaVine has been talked about, without much conviction, for at least a couple of seasons, but this time things look like they might be different. According to Shams Charania, there would be several teams interested in LaVine, and both he and the Bulls would be starting to process the idea of parting ways in the coming months.
In short, LaVine may not be officially on the market but he’s not going too far. This season, the UCLA product has already put up a 51-point performance, including in a knockout game, and is generally scoring 21.9 points average. It is the lowest average since his first year in Chicago, but his teammates are not doing better.
Zach LaVine has been with the Bulls since 2017 and has always been the star of the franchise, despite having made the Playoffs only once, in 2022, an experience that ended in a 4-1 elimination in the first round against the Milwaukee Bucks.
Developing: NBA teams are probing the availability of Bulls two-time All-Star Zach LaVine and there is increased openness from both sides about exploring a trade, sources say.
