Nikola Jokic put forth a masterful performance, proving that he can impact the game without relying solely on made baskets, while the Denver Nuggets cruised effortlessly past the Detroit Pistons, inflicting on them their 18th consecutive defeat on the road with a 131 to 114 victory on Sunday night.
Jokic became the first player in NBA history to make 15+ assists, 5+ rebounds and 5+ steals while scoring less than 5 points in a game.

In Sunday’s game he contributed 4 points, 16 assists, 7 rebounds and 5 stoppages. Jokic adopted the role of distributor and stopper of shots, opting for only three shots and finishing the game with a modest haul of four points.
The two-time NBA MVP demonstrated his defensive prowess, reaching his career high with five blocked shots.
Of course, the Nuggets would rather have the Joker scoring a ton of points and closing in on triple-doubles than the one putting up these numbers but the important thing is to know that Nikola Jokic is capable of doing that as well.
Let’s see how he performs in the next match which will be at home to the Utah Jazz of Simone Fontecchio and Lauri Markkanen.
