Nikola Jokic isn’t the only NBA player who didn’t practice this summer

Nikola Jokic’s words about his very few summer workouts made the news.

We actually did not expect a lot of work from the Serbian, certainly not the prototypical player-robot who undergoes hard workouts. Jokic claimed to have touched the basketball only a couple of times in recent months, although Jamal Murray ironically expressed doubts about that as well.

Jokic, however, appears not to be the only player who has not taken advantage of the off-season to work on his individual improvement. It doesn’t appear that even De’Andre Hunter from Atlanta Hawks has been killing himself with work, at least according to his own statement. During media day a reporter asked him what aspect he had been concentrating on most in recent weeks, he replied that he had been doing nothing. Many interpreted the statement as ironic but several Atlanta Hawks fans, disappointed with their team’s last season, voiced their disappointment on social media.
