LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers will rekindle their decades-long rivalry with the Boston Celtics on NBA Christmas Day 2023, according to reports from Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Last night The Athletic reported the news that the Lakers will visit the Denver Nuggets, the defending NBA champions, to open the 2023-24 season.
Last year, both meetings between the Lakers and Celtics went into overtime and ended on a nail-biter. On Dec. 13, the Celtics triumphed 122 to 118, despite Anthony Davis’ 37 points and 12 rebounds and LeBron James’ 33 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists.
The other games to be played on Christmas Day are as follows: Milwaukee Bucks vs. New York Knicks; Philadelphia 76ers vs. Miami Heat; Phoenix Suns vs. Dallas Mavericks; and Warriors vs. Denver Nuggets, defending NBA champions.
