Minnesota CRASHES the Nuggets and goes 2-0 in Denver! Now it’s on to Minneapolis to close 4-0?

The Minnesota Timberwolves took on the Denver Nuggets from the start and cruised to a 106-80 victory. The point total was Denver’s lowest of the season and the second time in two playoff games that the Timberwolves held the Nuggets under 100 points.

With this win, Minnesota moved to 2-0 in the series with a pair of away wins against the defending NBA champions.

Anthony Edwards continued to hit his stride. The emerging star scored 16 points in the first half after his 43 points in Game 1. His teammate, Karl-Anthony Towns, put up 20 at halftime as Denver was unable to counter Minnesota’s defensive intensity.

Minnesota outscored the Denver Nuggets 33-15 in the second quarter and led 61-35 at halftime. The 26-point deficit was the largest at home in Nuggets playoff history.

After halftime there was no challenge from Denver. The Timberwolves extended their lead in the third quarter to 73-41, and the Nuggets never got closer than 19 points away.
