Meyers Leonard is also seen again: he will do a workout with the Lakers

Period of great returns in the NBA. Jonathan Isaac, out with injury for two and a half years, returned to the court last night with the Lakeland Magic. DeMarcus Cousins may do so soon, will conduct a workout tomorrow with the Los Angeles Lakers to try to snag a contract. He will compete for the additional long position for LA along with Meyers Leonard, another who has not played a basketball game since 2021.

Unlike his colleagues, Leonard has other reasons for “justify” his own absence. The former Portland and Miami long man had been unofficially booted from the NBA after some anti-Semitic slurs uttered during a live broadcast on Twitch. When his contract with the Heat had expired in the summer of 2021, no franchise had offered him a contract. In his final NBA season in Miami, Meyers Leonard maintained. 3.3 points and 2.3 rebounds average.

Free agent center Meyers Leonard will work out for the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium.
