Magic’s response to Eddie House’s unflattering statements

A few days ago, after the Orlando Magic had beaten the Boston Celtics, Eddie House had made statements that were certainly not pleasant for the green-and-white’s opponents. The former Celtics player, on television, had said:

They won 10 games. They suck despite the win. They remain a poor team. They won’t make the Playoffs or the Play-in.

Former Celtic Eddie House with some choice words regarding the Orlando Magic despite being on a five game win streak….
Eddie House was a member of the Boston Celtics team that won the NBA championship in 2008.

Words that were heard loud and clear by the Magic. Even Paolo Banchero said so in a press conference before the “rematch” just two days later at TD Garden. The Italian-American admitted that House’s comments were discussed in the team’s group chat, but did not leave a trail.

We don’t know if it’s true, but Orlando certainly took the court against Boston with a poisoned tooth. Thanks to a stellar first half by Banchero and a final quarter by Franz Wagner and Fultz, the Magic took on the Celtics again, earning their sixth win in a row (before this streak there were 3 in total).

The victory gave the Orlando players a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take a revenge on Eddie House. Wendell Carter Jr, Mo Bamba, Cole Anthony, Markelle Fultz: all shared on Twitter. a Gif from several years ago, in which Rafer Alston, wearing an Orlando jersey, slaps House in the back of the head. Those were definitely other times, the Magic were one of the best NBA teams, and in that Conference Finals series they got the better of Boston, advancing to the Finals.
