Russell Westbrook had also stopped for the Lakers in recent days, but his injury turned out to be nothing serious and the point guard could even play against the Warriors. Schroder signed a one-year deal with the Lakers, where he had already played the 2020-21 season, after starring at EuroBasket with Germany.
