Charles Barkley renews with TNT for incredible figures

In the summer there had been talk of a possible farewell of Charles Barkley to TNT, the station that gave him a new career after retiring in the foursome along with Shaquille O\’Neal, Ernie Johnson and Kenny Smith. For Sir Charles there was the possibility of a move to the world of golf, of which he is passionate, as a commentator for LIV Golf. Then the rejection of this offer to continue on the NBA: now the signing of a new contract at pharaonic figures.

Barkley currently earns $10 million per season. and his contract expires in 2025. Now the former Suns legend, 60, will sign another 10-year contract with TNT for well over $100 million total, which can go up to $200 million. When the contract expires, Barkley will be over 70 years old, so he will be allowed to leave even before the natural end of the agreement if he wants to. Those were certainly other times, but Barkley during his entire playing career earned \”only\” a little over $40 million.

As reported by the New York Post, Barkley\’s case is not unique in the American sports world, however. Tom Brady, who just retired, signed a contract with Fox Sports worth $375 million over 10 years.
