The Clippers did not give details of the deal described, however, those were, by Adrian Wojnarowski. Leonard signed a three-year, $153 million total deal (52 in the first year and about 50 in the next two) with no Player Option. Very important news for LA, which hopes to confirm the entire Leonard-George-Harden trio (the Beard will be a free agent, while PG has a Player Option in the summer) again next season, the first that the Clippers will play in the new arena, theIntuit Dome.
Leonard is maintaining 23.8 points, 6.1 rebounds and 3.4 assists average this season, playing 32 out of 36 games so far, a very high number given his recent standards.
Deal includes $52M in first year and approximately $50M a season over the next two years, sources tell ESPN. No player option https://t.co/YaaheSEAeB
