Lillard crashes Lakers, Ham: “We should have tried to steal his shoes”

Damian Lillard wreaked havoc on the Los Angeles Lakers defense in his Portland Trail Blazers’ 115-127 victory.

40 points for the Blazers’ point guard with 8 triples on target, also adding 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Game secured well early by the Blazers, so much so that Dame watched much of the fourth period from the bench. In the first half he had put up 30 (career high), including 24 in the second period alone, with a total of 8 bombs scored in the first half (a franchise record, belonging to himself, equaled).

A true demonstration of omnipotence for a player who is traveling at an average of 38 in the last ten games. Even the Lakers’ coach candidly admitted this with a joke, Darvin Ham, after the game: “I have no idea how we could have stopped him tonight, maybe only by trying to steal his cleats.”
